On August 26, 2010University of Indonesia held the graduation ceremony for the graduates at the one and only Balairung, University of Indonesia.
me, as the new student in UI take part in the new student's choir to accompany the event. it was really a big choir with at least 4000 peoples sang together. wow, maybe UI should register it on Guinness Book of Record ;p
the day is very historical, not only for the graduates, but also for the new students. after the graduation ceremony there's welcoming ceremony for the new students. that was the moment when the new student can wear the yellow jacket legally for the first time and officially become members of UI!
me and my friends were so happy at the time, so we couldn't stop ourselves for taking pictures..
the ceremony was working well. the choir sang 9 songs, and FYI I'm on Sopran. do you believe that?? my favorite part is when we sang 'Gaudeamus Igitur'. The melody is very beautiful. wanna watch it?
I didn't remember every segments actually, but there're some parts that I put on my mind it was the announcement of those who got cumlaude in every faculties.
This list is just for Faculty of Social and Political Science, and it's not the entire list the highest GPA is 3,79! euwww that's terrific!
pic above is the graduates who got cumlaude for every faculties. aaah I envy them! I have to be one of them in the next 4 years! Insyaallah :)
after the event, me and my friends were busy taking shots with the yellow jacket. and when I was with my friend in communication science, suddenly Nadya appeared! yes, she's my besties at junior high! she was successfully accepted in Faculty of Economy.
hope that we can be a success person in the future! amiin!
and last but not least....
my friend in communication science 2010!
ooh what a yellow day :)

for now, let me show you my communication science's nametag. the name tag was shaped like an Ipod, like this...
the name tag is very complicated. it's made from 3 layers of cardboard! the screen of the Ipod is the place to put our name on it. this is Qoni's. and yah! I forget to tell you that in Communication Science department, we, as the new student in college, were given 'a fake name'. we have to call each other with that 'fake name'. the 'fake name' was made from our short name, even random. for example, there's my friend named Rahardian Luthfan, his fake name is Dufan My friend named Atikah turned to be Abotyl. lol. that's very random! and for me.... my fake name is... P.A! it's my initial name, stands for Putri Ariani. but in Indonesia, it's a slank word for a stupid and mentally retarded people. sigh....
pictures below were taken for communication science's photo name tag. well okay, the photo of nametag should have related with music's genre. my group's got the Hip-Hop Genre. not bad. there's my friend who got Dangdut by the way. lol!
we are very prepared and enjoy this photo shoot. our shot were great, buuuut the next day when we're printed the photo, the senior said that the photo must be taken at UI, with the orange bricks background! and they're not allowed us to edit it. errrrrr -___-
but that's okay, the picture taken was memorable :)

heeeeeeeey everybody! I'm so sorry for neglecting this blog, I didn't mean to do that. the college thingy forced me to do this. yeah now I'm very very busy doing the college thingy. Last week my day was full of activities, started with an orientation from university, then orientation from faculty and last but not least, orientation from department. aaaaaaaaargh it really makes me exhausted! my voice is gone, I don't know why, but some said that it's because I'm too tired...
I have to admit that the previous week was the worst week I've ever lived! 1st, the college activities were slowly killing me, I even had no time for myself! 2nd, I fell asleep and didn't wake up at Sahur's time, twice! I have set my alarm on, but it doesn't work for me -__- 3rd, I couldn't go home for a week! it's all because the busy schedule coming from UI.
so, this two days, I had my day off. I didn't join the ESQ program that was held at PRJ, Kemayoran, which I supposed to. I did that because I wanna stay at home, say hello to the internet, and take a rest. and that's the most precious thing for me this week...
just because I said it was horrible, doesn't mean that I'm stress or what. I still feel enjoy, because there's always friends to share... I am thankful for having them.

I want to tell you guys that this blog is officially transformed as a weekly blog.
Why weekly blog? Because I just have time to update it once in a week, soooo I hope it doesn’t bother you!
This week, I had some very very cool experiences in college life! Well, I started this week with joined the OBM (Orientasi Belajar Mahasiswa), an orientation for new student to face the college life. I had my name on G1B class. And I thank God for this. I really love this class. The people is so friendly and humorous! I feel enjoy when I’m around them and I didn’t shy to start the conversations and jokes with them, I still can’t believe that, because usually when I meet the new people, I’m going to feel nervous, not confidence and afraid to start the conversation. I’m thankful for it!
OBM held for a week. What given to us is the important material about the college life. There are 5 classes : Learning Skill class, Collaborative Learning class, Problem-based Learning class, Information Literacy class and Computer Mediated Learning class. This classes were located at the different buliding. Let’s hear the full story...
The 1st day was Learning Skill class. It was located at Economy Faculty, which is far from my boarding house. I went there by ojek UI because I never went there before, and afraid to get lost. It started at 8 am. When I entered the classroom, I sat on the second row which full of girls. Then, I encouraged myself to said hi to them. They were very friendly and kind. Enough with the girls, how about the boys? Boys always be my weakness. I’m a bit shy to get close with them.Learning Skill class was very funny and interesting. There’s so many games and task to make a group. Because of this, I can make friends with the boys. Here, I met people in many faculties and regions.
The 2nd day was Collaborative Learning, located at Law Faculty, near my boarding house, so I just had to went there by foot. I can say that the Collaborative Learning class is sucks. It’s a worst class. Sorry for the facilitator, but the way he talked to us was not okay and made us bored. In this class we learned about how to study with group effectively.
The 3rd day was InformationLiteracy class (located at Computer Science Faculty) and Computer Mediated Learning class (located at my beloved faculty, Social and Politic Science!). The distance was near. I’m a bit surprised when I just knew that there’s lift at Computer Science Faculty’s building. That’s cool. The class was a bit boring too, but better than the Collaborative Learning class. Here, we learned about how to got information for our study or assignment. It’s useful and there’s a game too! Ooh I prefer the game than the material....
The 4th day was Learning Skill class again. It’s funnier that the first one. Lot of games and laugh. Here, I asked them to take pictures together....
The 5th day was Problem-based Learningclass, the fasilitator is still the same with Collaborative Learning class and still boring too. But in the break time, we played ‘Truth or Dare’ and have fun together. Really unforgetable!
The last day was Computer Mediated Learning and Information Literacy again. Many of the class’ member didn’t attend this session. Yeah, maybe they are lazy or something. But I stayed in the class with 10 other members left.
The summary of OBM activities is... it’s very useful for all the new students to face the college life. The class is very active and friendly. I LOVE THIS WEEK’S ACTIVITIES!
So, here we are, The G1B class...
It’s sad when I realized that this session is over. Please, do not be such an arrogant when we meet each other, and hope that we can gather again in the next opportunity!
It’s great to know you all, thanks for the memories :’)

HEY! FINALLY, I'M HOME! alhamdulillah, after all the madness at UI, I can pause the hectic situation and go back home.
I have sooo many things that I want to share, but..okay just read the important story then...
1st, my boarding house
maybe you have read my previous post titled 'Cost for Kos', let me tell you that I didn't move to that boarding house on the photos. the owner switch me to the other boarding house, which is hers too. I'm upset when I know this since my mom has paid the down payment to booked that room. but that's okay, the condition of the room is almost similar. let's check my room out...
it's a spring bed, very comfortable. it's quite special because many of my friends have is just bed with kapok. do you realize that the bed cover is full of 101 dalmantion's character? ;p
the wardrobe looks like high school's locker, rite? but it makes me easier to recognize what's inside it by memorizing the color.
welcome my greeny DELL :) I love the color very much!
the saddest part about living in the boarding house is... the silent situation. I have no TV here. I have laptop here, but no internet connection, so it's like useless. Yes, I just like the rural children! poor me! but, thanks to my mom, she accompanied me for 2 days. at least, I'm not feeling very lonely...
2nd, the assignment
phew, finally the assignment is done. I hope I made no mistakes because I was bleeding for it.
the scrapbook. it made from waste papers, contains 7 essays. it has to be written by hand. exhausting...
the nametag. we should glue the photo which must be adjusted with our idea. and here, my idea is being a presenter ;p
3rd, the activities
The activities at UI is slowly killing me. You have to know that I should wake up at 6 and go to Balairung at 7 am, and go back to boarding house at 7 pm! that sounds terrible, rite? yes, I'm exhausted and almost gave up.
what I've done for this one week is the choir reherseal at Balairung UI. I got sopran voice accidentally. why accidentally? because I sat down randomly and just realized that I was in the sopran's area. my voice is not bad actually. I reached the high pitch, but now I lost my voice...
this is the pre-orientation of communication science department. it held after the choir reherseal. we had some gatherings to in order to introduce each other and meet the senior.
UI was attended by Rossy Show from Global TV. it's a talkshow that was presented by Rossiana Silalahi, the famous news anchor. aaah I'm glad to know this. we're oblige to wear white shirt and long skirt. they invited many famous people like Chandra Hamzah from KPK and Ade Rai. did you know that Ade Rai is the alumnus of International Relation from UI? hmm..
and the most important part is the public lecture from Prof. Rhenald Kasali! He's the lecturer from Economy Faculty in S2 program. I was so lucky to hear his lecture. he's an excellent motivator and inspirator. he opened my eyes and my mind. many inspirational quotes were coming from his mouth.
sooo, the conclusion is now my life is super duper busy! hope I can get through it well :)

20 y.o, currently studying on Universitas Indonesia, majoring Public Relations. type of girl you'd like to pinch in the cheeks. The blog is random and might contains grammatically-wrong sentences, but who knows if one lil crap can be one's inspiration? :p
